Faces are the first feature that people notice about each other – even our private selves with that early morning glance in the mirror! They reflect both our inner and outer health and contentment – key areas addressed by true aromatherapy treatments. Not surprisingly, Micheline Arcier Aromatherapy has been specialising in fabulous facials for over 45 years. We don’t guarantee to lighten those ‘laughter lines’ by the same time-span, but we do promise that you’ll leave us looking fresher and feeling better…

Signature French Facial (1 hour) £60.00
This traditional French aromatherapy massage technique is unusual because it requires the particular skill of very experienced therapists. It is carried out using very precise and specific techniques that stimulate circulation and improve blood flow so the skin is deeply nourished. In addition it improves muscle tone, counteracting the effects of tension and strain. It increase the rate of lymphatic drainage by clearing waste and fluid from the tissues which can give a congested and lifeless appearance to the skin. It is a real "work out" for the face using an essential oil blend and mask chosen to suit the particular skin type so the treatment can be tailored to revitalise and refresh each skin type. A course of treatments is particularly beneficial for skins that are older, prematurely aged or lacking tonicity.

Deep Cleansing Facial with Desincrustation Serum (1 hour) £65.00
This treatment includes a vegetable exfoliation suitable for all but the most sensitive skins. This is followed by a shorter version of the French facial massage as detailed above. A mask suited to the individual skin type is then applied which leaves the skin squeaky clean, clear and smooth. Regular treatment counteracts the effects of environmental pollution and is particularly suitable for tired, sluggish or congested skin.

Serum Treatment Facial (1 hour) £65
A traditional French Facial massage as detailed above, adapted to suit individual skin type. This is combined with a luxurious serum treatment chosen to suit skin type as follows:

Sensitive skins - A calming and nourishing face oil, such as Tendre (containing camomile and neroli) is used in the treatment. The application of Azulene serum (extract of camomile) during the treatment has a soothing action on delicate skins.

Acne, oily skins - A light face oil, such as Clarté (containing bay, juniper and myrrh) is used to help rebalance oily skin. Application of the orange serum in the treatment gives a boost to the complexion, leaving the skin looking fresh and glowing.

Dehydrated / Normal Skins - A nourishing and rejuvenating face oil such as Beauté (containing rose, patchouli and geranium) is used. Application of the framboise (raspberry) serum within the treatment acts as a 'pick me up' for the skin.

Intense Hydrating Facial (30 minutes) £35.00
This is the perfect ‘pick-me-up’ when you are short of time! It makes the skin look radiant, healthy and glowing – a wonderful way to counteract the effects of travelling, jet-lag and dehydration. Thorough cleansing is followed by a face and neck massage after which a relaxing masque is applied. This is accompanied by further massage to the back of the neck and the shoulders.

Treatments marked with a * require a preliminary half-hour consultation (£25) to determine the needs of the client. This enables the therapist to choose the most appropriate treatment to administer in the clinic and the most suitable products for use at home.
