Recent years have seen many changes at Micheline Arcier Aromatherapie – in 2006 the sad loss of Madame Arcier after a long, dynamic and inspiring life, followed shortly afterwards by the sudden death of her daughter Marie-Christine in 2009. These two remarkable women who dedicated their lives to their work have been greatly missed by the rest of the Micheline Arcier team and the many clients who knew them around the world.

Although our clinic in Knightsbridge closed in March 2009 customers and clients have continued to purchase our wonderful hand-blended products either through our website or via our phone line +44(0)20 7235 3545.

It is the encouragement and continued support of so many loyal clients that has made it possible for Germaine and Catherine to begin a new phase in early 2013 in the Micheline Arcier Aromatherapie story. Always remaining true to the Micheline Arcier holistic principles and inspired by her innovative spirit, we will ensure that our aromatherapy offering is totally in tune with your needs.

Website changes

Loyal customers will notice that with our new website there are changes to the number of products listed and if you do not find what you need, please contact us as we may be able to help you.

Some of our very loyal customers may cherish memories of products by different names - help is at hand! We have records of most of the old names so if the day doesn’t end well without an Aromatica Bath, we can re-direct you (in this case to Enchantement)!

Environmental changes

We believe that as a holistic practitioner Madame Arcier would have enthusiastically supported the protection of endangered plants, adapting formulations accordingly. An oil much-loved by Madame Arcier, Rosewood Aniba rosaeodora, has in recent years been added to the CITES list of endangered species.

So in keeping with Madame Arcier’s holistic principles we have substituted a plant oil with a similar chemical profile in those formulations which previously included Rosewood. Such adaptations to meet environmental imperatives are the only occasions on which Madame Arcier’s formulations will be changed. Never to compromise quality, never on the basis of cost.
